Spiritual Warfare and Spiritual Weapons

A Seminar/Workshop for BelieversFrom the Finding Freedom Series

2 Corinthians 10:4 says, "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds."

Many will say, the Word of God, which is the sword of the spirit is our weapon. While this is true, and certainly 'one' of our weapons, Satan knows the Word of God better than most Christians do.  What other spiritual weapons do believers have, which totally separates and distinguishes believers from the adversaries, weapons Satan can never use?

As believers, find out what your spiritual weapons are, and how you can use them to pull down the demonic strongholds in your life and the lives of those you minister to.

In this workshop you will also learn how to use and wear the Full Armor of God, what each piece means, and how you can 'shine' your armor daily.

The Armor of God

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the principalities, (spiritual authorities), against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil (aliens, fallen angels and demons) in the heavenly realms (2nd heaven).

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

1.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,

2.  with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

3.  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

4.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

5.  Take the helmet of salvation and

6.  the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

7.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.

8.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." (Ephesians 6:10-17)

The spiritual battle waged on and over the earth is every believer's  battle against rulers and authorities (the powerful evil forces of fallen angels under Satan's hierarchy)  These who are not ‘flesh and blood’ are demons, non-human intelligences (aliens), who are under the power and control of Satan.  They are not mere fantasies – they are very real.  We face a powerful army whose goal is to defeat the army of Christ and His church.

When anyone begins the journey of believing in Jesus Christ as their personal savior, these fallen angel beings become our enemies, and they try every device to turn us away from Christ and back to sin. They use all kinds of deceptive spirits.  Every believer has to face and contend with religious spirits, for these are Satan's strongholds within the church and within the realms of all religions on
earth.  In fact, it was these evil religious spirits which crucified Christ.

As believers we are assured of victory, nevertheless, believers are called to endure and overcome till the end in this spiritual struggle until Christ returns, because Satan is constantly battling against all who are on the Lord’s side. While our power to defeat Satan is supernatural, there are certain Biblical precepts we are all called to do to ensure victory and to enjoy the protection of God's Holy Spirit within us and his armor surrounding us.

Psalm 91:11 says, "that God will command His angels to surround us and guard us in all of
our ways."

However, that is under the condition that we fulfill our end of the agreement/covenant with God.  While Psalm 91 is used as prayer for God's protection in spiritual warfare, it is also God's covenant with all those who put their faith and trust in Him.
